Earlier this year, together with his trusty near-sighted navigator Foggy Smythe-Tomlins, Colonel Bay set out in his plane "The Cloud King" to map icebergs in Antarctica . True to his nickname, " Wrong Way " Bay made several miscalculations in direction and crashed in the jungles of the fabled land of Timbuktu . But life is an adventure and Colonel Bay set out to discover the secrets of this mysterious and danger-filled paradise.

Exploring Timbuktu 's uncharted Walaango River Region, Colonel Bay discovered many valuable artifacts and Foggy was tragically eaten by giant carnivorous M'Tu-Tu flies. After surviving many dangers in the Forgotten Temple of Sheir-Lii and escaping almost certain death at the hands of the headhunting warriors of the T'Ungee Cult, Colonel Bay miraculously returned to the Cloud King's crash site and sent out an S.O.S.
